: : Does anyone know exactly where the dome light swith for a 1931 Tudor should be located? Thanks

: I'm the coordinator for the MAFCA Chapter "Deluxe Tudor Sedan Owners Group" and I've been publishing the group newsletter for a couple of years.I have a 1931 Deluxe Tudor.Only the Deluxe Tudors had dome lights, which are the round type with the switch on the rim (See the MAFCA/MARC judging standards for a picture.)This same unit was used in the Deluxe Coupe in 30-31 and the Standard SW Fordor in 1931.

: If you have a non-deluxe 1931 Tudor, you can buy a repro dome light from several sources. You'll need to make the wooden support board for the light. When mounted between the top bows, the center of the dome light should be 42" from the windshield header.

: Let me know if you need more details about wiring, etc.Several people have "dolled up" their standard tudors with dome lights, cowl lights, etc.But unless they have a driver's seat that's adjustable and an indented firewall, it's probably not an original Deluxe Tudor.

My 1931 Tudor has an indented firewall, armrests and cowl lights. The seats are not original. The dome light does not have a switch. According to the standards it is the wrong light.
1. Where is an acceptable location for the dome light switch?Where is it located on the Fordor?
2. I thought the indented firewall is indicative of a late'31, not a deluxe model. (?)
Thanks for your help.
