Jim,
Gary mentioned the body assembly plant number and where to find them.They can appear anywhere on the front body cross member or the passenger side sill rail.There are usually one, two or three letters that indicate the assembly plant of production. In Gary's case I think the LA is the Los Angeles assembly plant and the 5-30 might be month and year of production.The 5593 might indicate some sort of one-up number by body style.
