: : Hello,

: : I have two cars, both cars have the same problem, There seems to be a bubbling in the head gasket area between cylinders 2 and 3. I've looked at several other cars lately and they also have this problem. Is this because I didn't put gasket cement on the head gaskets before installing them? Or is this just a matter of re-torque?

: : Thanks

: you may need to have the head milled to make shur it is flat and not warped. Also using the copper head gasket sealer on both sides help. rember to retighten the nuts after the motor is good and hot.

There are head nut torquing sequence charts in most of the Model A Parts books. The first and second nuts to be torqued are in the middle of the head.It is recommended that the torquing be performed in three steps, with number 2 and 3 done while the engine is at operating temperature, ending with a final value of 50 foot pounds.
