Thanks for advice on engine knock

A special thanks to Bob Carabbio, Jim McPerson, and Mike Flanagan for your suggestions on pinpointing the source of the engine knock in my 29 Town Sedan.Using the broom handle sounding rod trick, the knock is most definitely emanating from the center main bearing. The area around the front and rear mains was very quiet, but right at the center, there was that very definite tap-tap-tap vibrating through my eardrum.Dad said he's heard a lot worse, noting that back in the old days, they REALLY hammered before anyone bothered to get shims removed. So I think for now, I'll just baby it, and when I get the urge, I'll remove the oil pan and take out a shim or two.
I also have another non-Model A question if anyone wants to tackle this one:We've got a 1948 Ford F-5 grain truck that we're wanting to restore.Does anyone know if the wiring harness for the F-1 would work on the F-5?I'm guessing it will, with the exception that the taillight harness may be a bit short.Of course, some wire could be added to that easy enough. But what about under the dash and under the hood?Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Gary.
