Gary,
Welcome to Model"A" heaven. Before doing any changes on your car, I would suggest that you get a copy of the Judging Standards. For example it says on page 4-7 that the forged steel fender brackets were used on some early 1930 vehicles. Ford used up all old parts before using the new parts. The judges will also aloow some variance because of what I noted above.
