Hi Brad

This is one man's opinion-

An "A" with a stock drive train regardless of body style is good for 45-47 M.P.H. if you want to hold the engine together.

With overdrive and engine mods, you can cruise at 60-65, but doing so with stock mechanical brakes is not the brightest move.

Here in the Dallas club, the "Tour Car" of preference is the '31 Slant Window Fordor with Hydraulic vacuum assist brakes, pressurized and inserted engine, and overdrive.

The Fordors (with the exception of the Slant window '31s) were a wood frame with steel overlay which makes them difficult to restore and expensive unless you're into woodwork in a big way.

Around here (Dallas)there isn't a lot of difference in purchase price between Coupes and Fordors. The only model that is generally cheaper is the Tudor which has just about as much room as the Fordor, and is a steel body.

The coupe is also a steel body. The kids can ride in the rumble, and if nobody's in it, you have some hidden storage room which doesn't exist in the Fordor.Coupes are HOT in the summer - Firewall insulation is a must, and a roll-down rear window is a good idea. They are easy to heat in the winter, though.

There is a definite legroom limitation in coupes, while the sedans give you more expanding room.I'm 6'3", and roadsters fit me like O.J's gloves. Coupes aren't bad, though, and sedans are comfortably roomy.I had a friend who was 6'6", and couldn't drive my '28 Tudor because he couldn't get to the gas pedal with his foot.
