: I have a Model B engine with a C head and a Model B carburetor in my 1930 Coupe. It appears like the carburetor dash setting on my car is very sensitive which affects the acceleration of my engine. If the setting isn't "right on the money", the engine has very little power when the gas pedal is pushed down. When the setting is right, the engine will accellerate normally. My question is to those who may have similar experince with this, what is the recommended starting, cold, warmup and normal operating temperature settings? Are there any other fuel control "tips" for getting the maximum power from the engine? The engine has just been totally rebuilt, and may be a little tight. Thanks, guys..Larry Jenkins

Larry, I run a B carb on one of my cars.In winter or if its a little cool I have to warm it up at 1/4 turn open. After warm up it runs fine at all speeds with it closed.Your symtoms may change when the engine gets some miles on it.
Good luck with it.
Paul
