: Does anyone know of a good source for wiper motor repair?
: I've rebuilt mine...but am less than happy with the results.
: Thanks.
Ken, I have rebuilt a couple of them and they work well. When not used in a long time, I have to spray a little Wd40 in them to perk them up.I followed the same route as Larry. Was able to get replacement parts from Brattons. They were in the original Trico packaging.Used as many of the old parts as possible. Discovered that most of the leaks were at the slide valve. There was also some leaks at the mating surfaces as Larry points out.As he outlined, that is the process I used. A vaccuum pump is a nice aid in working on them.I used one and with vaccuum on the wiper motor, carefully spray a little oil around the seams and valve. If the wiper starts running properly, you have found the source of the leak.
Good luck with them.
Paul
