I've read the Restorer article, and would like to go that way, but money prohibits at present.Full pressure feed is a goal, but not this year.In fact, the motor that came with the '31 had good babbit (although some of the workmanship was unexciting)- two of the rods were in backward.I'm not going through a full rebuild at present - just wrist pins valves and rings.We'll save the big one for later.

By dumping the oil back into the oil pump passage just above the pump, the normal oil pattern of the engine isn't changed in any way, so I don't think there will be any problem with starvation of the mains.

I think I'll give it a try and find out what happens.
