Had the same problem with our 31 coupe, tryed everything the other fellows mentioned all of which improved but did not totally fix the problem.Finally found instructions to adjust front wheel bearings as follows:tighten spindle nut to 15 ft/lbs using torque wrench. back off to first cotter pin slot and install cotter pin.I have not had any shaking since and have put several hundred miles on car.I was afraid that the wheel bearings might be too tight using this method and I have checked them several times and have found no indication of any problem whatever.Hope this helps, it was really great to get rid of the "shakes.
