: Please help with the correct type of electroplating for my 1930 Fordor restoration. The after-market catalog lists chrome, but I'm sure everthing was nickel plated with exception of the emergency brake lever & gear lever. My problems at the moment are:- The gas & spark adjusting levers, the light switch control on the steering wheel, the dashboard (round speedometer), dash panel screws, gas adjusting valve control & amp meter bezel. Alternatively does someone maybe have a list of what should be nickeled.
: Thanks

DJ, there's some comtroversy in this area of plating, but you should adhere to the latest MARC/MAFCA Judging Standards. Some Model A parts houses offer either chrome or nickel.I had my early 30 dash nickel plated, and as long as you keep it waxed, it won't get that dull look that nickel is famous for..
