Hi Todd,
Welcome to the Model A hobby.Since you're online, you may want to check out the web sites of the two national Model A organizations.

Model A Restorers Club (MARC) can be found at
http://www.modelaford.org/

Model A Ford Club of America (MAFCA) can be found at
http://www.mafca.com/

There is a list of chapters and members with e-mail addresses onMAFCA's website. You may want to check there for a chapter near you and for members with e-mail near you.

You mentioned that you're looking for a 1931 Coupe convertible. You may be thinking of a style that we now call a cabriolet.

Model A's came in several body styles:
A Coupe was a two door, one bench seat, hard topped car.

A Sport Coupe was similar but had a non-folding soft top.
A Cabriolet was similar but does have a folding top.
A Roadster was a two door, one bench seat, no roll-up windows, and a soft top that folds down.

There's a bunch of good books on the Model A Ford and they can help you learn more about the cars and their history.Again, the MAFCA website has a list of them (try the "Reference Desk" page) and then check out your local library.

Good luck in your search.Remember that most Model A owners are really happy to assist others finding cars, parts and service providers, so get in touch with one of us.
