: I'm curious what the difference between a Model A Ford and a Model AA Ford.Any help would be great.
Brendon,
The Model A includes all of the passenger cars and light commercial vehicles (pickups, sedan deliverys and so forth) that used the basic passenger car chassis with a 103-1/2" wheelbase. The Model AA is the heavy commercial vehicles that used the larger chassis with either the 131-1/2" wheelbase or the 157" wheelbase introduced in 1931.
For more detail into the differences or more precisely the details of the AA's you can refer to the supplement in the "Model A Judging Standards and Restoration Guidelines" available from either of the Model A Ford clubs.
Hope this has helped,
John
