Rick,
At a recent swap meet one of our club members pointed me to a piece of old cast iron that I was unable to identify...... then he showed me that it was a era tow bar. It actually has "U" bolts that attach around the front axle and then there is a place for a metal or wooden tongue (which is missing) that would reach up to the towing vehicle. The cast iron pieces really resemble the mechanism used on an old time radio flyer wagon..... two pieces.... one that can pivot and one that is attached to the wagon..... I could not live with out it..... more stuff for the garage wall!!!!
