Hi Steve. Contratulations with your new purchase.As a new Model A owner, here are a few tips

1. Join a local Model A Chapter.You'll meet other people with Model A's, find out where to get parts and repairs, and get help with your restoration/maintenance

2. Every Model A owners should have the following books:
a. Model A Instruction Book - was originally delivered to the new owner of each car - tells you how to drive it, how to maintain it, etc.Reprints are available from most any Model A parts dealer and it's less than $10.

b. "Restorer's Model A Shop Manual" - by Jim Schild. This well-written and handsomely illustrated book is a "must" for anyone restoring a Model 'A' Ford. For the past 10 years, it has been the top selling book of it's kind. 224 pages. $24.95.

c. Model A Judging Standards & Restoration Guidelines w/1995 Revisions, jointly published by MAFCA and MARC..$25.00 ea.

3. Check out Model A Ford Club of America (MAFCA)'s web site, especially the Technical Questions and answers, the Reference section (books for the "A"), photos of other cars, lists of MAFCA chapters, etc.
