Indented Firewall

HI,
How hard is it to replace the indented firewall on my Late 31 slant windshield four door? The car must of at some time had all sorts of gadgets installed onto the firewall.I was thinking of welding the holes up but I don't really know what holes are supposed to be there! One hole in particular is roughly four inches square! I know that one isn't supposed to be there! How much would a good used indented firewall cost and where would I find one? Any ideas?
