1930 Model A pick up

How do I get a replacement id number (vin is
unreadable), so that I can get a bill of sale
which I lost for my 1930 pick up?
I have a buyer for the pick up but can't
proceed until I know the vin number so
I can get a replacement bill of sale.
I'd appreciate any help you can offer.
