I have heard stories that STP added to modern gear oils results in a gel. I have been affraid to try it in my cars but would like to hear from someone who has tried it. Bob's recipe with the addition of wheel bearing grease mifgt keep it from forming a gel. I use straight STP in my steering sector and it really sticks to the worm gear and I can tell a difference in the steering (easier). Jim McPherson
