: Can someone tell me the approximate cost of adding dual sidemounts to a 1930-1931 Model A?Is it fairly easy to do and are the parts readily available?
Walt,
I agree with Bob. The installation is not that difficult. A&L sells a template and a darn good well. I use a variable speed saber saw to cut the hole. Drill a 1/4" hole and cur away. I then use a body hammer and dolly to carefully work the lip of the well down, carefully working gradually around the entire well until it fits the well you are installing. I then drill 1/4" holes on the lip, pop rivet the well in place, weld the well through the holes, remove the rivets and weld up those holes. The body work is the most time comsuming, it takes me the better part of a day to do noe, but it sure dresses up your "A". Good Luck, Jim McPherson
