: Regrads, Hugh Smith

I am using 10W30 detergent oil in my Model A.There have been MANY articles in both the MAFCA and MARC magazines about the pros and cons of detergent versus non-detergant oils, and none of the articles said NOT to use the detergent oils.I have the latest SI grade in mine now.I also have 90 weight oil in the tranny and rear end with no leaks. There is a new grade out now that has the "stick stuff" in it to reduce the leaking.Don't live in the past.Rely on modern chemistry. Also, pay attention to what other restorers say.I don't believe there's a "pat" answer.
