Brian,
My first guess would also be the water pump. My second guess would be the generator. With the hood raised and while performing the operations given by Bob you should be able to get a good idea where the noise is coming from. Also if it is from a bushing, it may take a few minutes after oiling for the noise to stop. Jim McPherson
