: What alterations are needed to install modern clip-in bearings into an "A" block? It is getting harder to find someone to poor them! What would be the negative aspects of doing this? I see in the Model "A" News a reference to F.A.S.T. technology but no address was given. Anyone know where it is?

Leo,
The address for FAST is 4997 Shadow Canyon Rd, Templeton, CA 93465. We have one club member with an insert bearing engine, and from looking at it and my reading, I don't think it is something the average person can do, or even a machine shop. There are several people who do rebuild our "A" engines with these bearings, and once the conversion is done you can then replace them if needed. Good luck,
Jim
