Ken-
It depends on what body you are working with.Some, like the 30-31 coupe, have a door top which removes, and you can put the glass channel in , then slide the glass down it with the top removed.Some, like the wood-door frame Fordors, don't have a removeable top, and you have to slide the glass down with the channels pulled to the inside at their tops, then tack the channels to place after the glass is in.The glass channel on the bottom should be installed first, and the window regulator and door latch mechanism installed before the glass is put in.Sometimes you have to engage the window regulator into the glass channel as the glass is slid down - crank the regulator arm up toward the top.Most of the details will become clear as you do it - just be patient and experiment a little if things don't go smoothly at first.
