: I am very interested in knowing from someone as to what oil is best to use in a rebuild engine, and time to change and how many miles should the engine go before another rebuilding. : basically how to get the best service. : Thanks, Wade Ingrham Here in the Northeast, most of us are using 10-40W oil in our engines. Change you oil about every 500 miles if your not using a filtering system. With the detergent type oils, particulars stay suspended in the oil so it's important to change it often. Not sure how long a rebuilt engine would last, there are so many factures involved to make a logical judgment. Hopefully, your rebuilt engine will last for many enjoyable years. |
