My dad switched his to Model A to 12 volts, and the only thing he did was to go down to Radio Shack and buy some resistance wire, and cut it to length by ear(as soon as it sounds good, stop).
How did you handle the 6 volt starter?I know some guys are having them sent in for re-wiring ($$$$).My dad did his himself by cutting a field running some jumper leads, nothing too difficult.He gave me all of his notes on it for writting an article in the nationals, I just have to convert it from garage mechanic to computer geek (so I understand it) and back to garage mechanic.
