I attached my CB under the Steering by going down to Fleet Farm, and buying a bearing cap(This looks similar to the clamp that holds the brake cross shaft to the frame.
I found the correct size for the column, plus added a strip of rubber inner tube around the column, to keep the unit form slidding and moving around.
I power my 12 volt CB with a 6 volt invertor.I am planning on switching to a 12 volt battery, for safety reasons.
