I was in Toronto for the MAFCA convention and there was a fella who had a Model A with a sixty HP V8 in it.It fit without any trouble an appeared stock, except for the dual exhaust.He said it ran great,but believe it or not he said that he had trouble keeping up with his travelling mates in their Model As with overdrives.
Sorry I can't help on the mechanical changes he must have had to do.Good luck.
