: I have recently purchased a'30 coupe. It has 19" wheels that are black but need repainting.
: Body color is 2 tone olive green with black fenders - pinstripe in apple green. What colors would be correct? Can wheels be sandblasted to remove old paint?
:Thanks...Dick

A couple of added notes..My original copy of the MARC/MAFCA Judging Standards says that wheel colors for July 1930 to July 1931 could be Black; Aurora Red; Tacoma Cream; Apple Green; Orange or Hession Blue.

Ditzler's Repaint Manual calls for an Apple Green stipe with the Elkpoint Green/Kewanee Green combination.

Regardless of the painting method you use for your wheels, sandblasting is best because it provides a good "tooth" for the paint. The wheels should be painted right away to prevent rust blush.
