: Does anyone have information on where I would find what the upholstery for a '31 Fordoor Deluxe Town Sedan?I need to know what it looks like, patterns, material, and colors. Hi there. There were a couple of variations of 1931 Fordors. There's a straight windshield model and a slant windshield model. There were three types of each:the standard fordor, the Deluxe fordor, and the Town Sedan. If your car has three windows on each side (2 doors and rear quarater)then it's either a standard or town sedan. If it only has two windows, it's a Deluxe Fordor (also called a blindback.) Once you know what you have, I'd suggest you consult the MAFCA/MARC judging standards. There is detailed information about the kind of material for each Model A body style.Another good source is "The Model A Ford as Henry Built It", which has excellent factory photographs of cars and interiors. Also you may want to check out the MAFCA web site; it's URL is listed below. I'm real interested in the '31 fordors; I am restoring a basket-case S/W Blindback Deluxe Fordor (model 160-C).Regards! |
