Club member Gary Stroelel and I wrote an article on rebuilding the vacuum wiper for the Model A Trader,Spring 1995 issue. We have had no trouble using the kits available, those being old stock Trico sold by Model A parts houses. The most critical part is to get the paddel edges back in correctly. I would take another look at the one you have. Are the inside walls smooth? Give it another try. Good luck
