I've run repros for years.I actually put a fan clear thru
one and was still able to repair it for years more of service.
Walker, American, and Brassworks all make reputable repros.
I'm running an American heavy-duty with a sealed cap and a
stainless steel recover tank and leakless pump.Works great
The cooling system is one thing on my Model A that requires
just about zero attention. The American radiators are hard
to install but the least expensive and fine once you get them
in.(My husband showed me a little trick for encouraging
cranky repro shells and rads to mate - you stick a screwdriver
through the two upper holes - bracket and shell - then rock
them until they're aligned. Now snap a pair of vice-grips on
the shell and bracket to hold them together and stick your
bolt through.Nut it loosely and go do the same thing on the
other side's upper bracket. The bottom ones will now put up
virtually no fight.Done deal.Ten minutes, tops.
