Engine rebuilding

Can anyone recommend a competent shop to help rebuild the engine on my 30 Roadster?I live in the Fresno, CA area. It makes loud banging sounds isolated by stethescope to the crankshaft/bearing area when decelerating from high speed.This is a newly acquired sound, and since I'm a new owner of a model A I don't know where to start.Any suggestions?
