You are also going to need a list of places that provide parts or services for Model As. Below is a link to a page that has a very good list.As far as books most of the Model A parts suppliers sell books that are very helpful in restoring a Model A.You should first obtain catalogs from the parts suppliers.
The restoration books that I would recogmend are:
The 5 volume "How to restore your Model A"
"Model A Ford restoration and maintenance hadndbook"
"Model A shop Manual"

If you are going to restore you car for "show" you should get
"The Model A Judging Standards & Restoration Guidelines"
"Model A as Henery Built It"

There are also two National clubs MARC and MAFCA with many local chapters. If there is a local club in your area you could join it and get help from the club.
