There are three possibilities

If the car is an early '29 it could have had Cast fender braces. In this case, there is one 1/2-20 X 1 9/16" bolt, and two 3/8-24 X 15/16" bolts on each bracket.

If it's a later manufacture with Stamped brackets, The bolts in question are 3/8-24 X 15/16"

If it has '31 fender braces installed (with the center bolt on a raised reinforcing rib), you need two 3/8-24 X 15/16", and one 3/8-24 X 1 15/16" on each bracket.

The frame holes are not tapped. The original bolts had plain heads.

They are used with Heavy (USS)split lock washers and Hex nuts. By all means use Higher grade bolts unless you're going for a show restoration.I use Loctite RED on all chassis related fasteners just so I don't have to worry about them later
