This is in addition to Rick's answer stating how to size the fender bracket bolts. I would like to make two additional suggestions.First, if you don't plan to restore your Model A to the Judging Standards, buy Grade 5 bolts that are stronger.They have 3 radial marks on the head, where Grade 2 have no radial marks.Second, when you are assembling your brackets to the frame, and fenders to the brackets and crossbar, keep the fasteners a little loose to allow you to get the final fit before sequentially tightening the fasteners.This part of assembling has been the hardest on my last two Model As. Hope this helps.
