: How concerned about mig welding on the body should I be.I guess I'm concerned about loosing body flex and creating a body that is to stiff thus causing cracks and safety issues!

Model A bodies are made of steel thickness sufficient to support small tip gas welding by an experienced welder. In my opinion, your MIG welder is an excellent choice for welding the A without undo warping or metallurgic impacts. Use .025 wirea low heat range and practice welding "backwards", that is from right to left. this will decreasepenetration. Weld the ends first, then an inch or so, skip a spot and stitch some more. Fill in the blanks a little at a time.
