Let me put this to rest.Model A Fords were originally designed to run on unleaded gas.As GM held the patent and collected royalties on the lead additive, Henry Ford was not about to build a car that would require a product that would directly profit his rival if he could help it.He didn't.Fords continued to use unleaded gas, some actually manufactured by Ford at the Rouge Plant itself under the trade name "Benzol" until the Second World War.
