High Tech Cutout

I too have installed a zener diode inside my cutout.It was pretty simple to do; just gut out a non-working cutout, drill a hole for the zener and press fit in place.A little soldering and reassembling the cover and off you go.I've had this on my car for 5 years.Although I have only driven 1700 miles, my battery (which was also purchased 5 years ago) has always started briskly.The cutout looks stock and I've never had to adjust anything!
